SUPERINTENDENT Drawings live in a global registry; each component card lists its drawing refs (e.g. H-1, H-19) in a JSON array drawing_refs (since migration 0086).

Linking a drawing from the component card

1. Open the component card
2. The "Link a technical drawing" smart-hint opens the upload picker (this triggers the file dialog — earlier versions only scrolled, which made it feel broken; fixed in v2.29.4)
3. Upload the PDF; the system stores it in R2 (binding BACKUPS, pms bucket) and writes a row to drawings
4. The drawing's registry_code is appended to components.drawing_refs

Yard-drawing token backfill

Many older components had yard-drawing tokens (H-1, H-19, etc.) buried in the location field. Migration 0086 added drawing_refs; the 0087-drawing-refs-rerun admin endpoint parses leftover tokens out of the location field on demand.

Manuals

Manuals live in source_documents with doc_type='loading_manual' (a Helpful / Run 2 input, not a CL Build blocker). Upload via the Class & Flag Documents wizard → Helpful section → loading_manual slot.
