Supervisor guide
SUPERVISOR Supervisors do everything a superintendent does, plus they own the approval cycle and the knowledge-base corrections that make the AI smarter over time.Quick start
- Log in. The sidebar shows you all vessels in the fleet (not just assignments).
- Open Drafts → Pending to see what is waiting for review.
- Use Batch approve when a superintendent has filed a clean batch of like-kind drafts (e.g. a full set of spare-part rows for one component).
What supervisors can do that superintendents cannot
| Capability | Where in the app |
|---|---|
| Approve / reject drafts | Drafts → Pending |
| Batch approve drafts | Drafts → Pending → Batch |
| Teach Model (corrections post-AI) | Knowledge Base → Teach Model |
| Knowledge-base entries | Knowledge Base → Entries |
| RAG retrieval graph | Tools → RAG Graph |
| Class & Flag documents wizard | Vessel → Class & Flag Documents |
| CL Skeleton wizard (start the build) | Vessel → CL Builds |
| CL Remap (advisory drafts) | Vessel → CL Remap |
| Quarantine review | Tools → Quarantine |
What supervisors still cannot do
These remain administrator-only:
- User management (create / disable accounts, change roles)
- Vessel onboarding (add a new vessel to the fleet)
- UCS Foundation activate / propose, Master List edits
- Cascade preview / apply
- Backups & restore
- Drawings registry mutation
Why the split?
The Knowledge Base is corrective only — it adjusts what the LLM will output next time, never what is in the live PMS. So supervisors can edit it freely. The UCS Foundation is the source of truth for codes — only the administrator owns it.
